Kait and Tim’s Stone Manor Boutique Inn wedding was the perfect blend of rustic beauty and whimsical charm. From a heartfelt morning in the bridal suite to a cozy first look framed by stained glass windows, every moment felt intentional and full of joy. Their outdoor ceremony, set beneath towering trees and lined with ferns, had a quiet, enchanted feel, while their tented reception overflowed with creativity – think typewriters, books, fairy wings, and even a kids’ crafting table. The whole day was a beautiful reflection of their love story, wrapped in the magic of this Loudoun County wedding venue.
I began the morning in Kait’s suite, where she slipped into her gown in front of a beautiful painting. It was a sweet moment that set the tone for the whole day. They had their first look in the inn’s cozy sitting room, complete with glowing stained glass windows that perfectly matched their fairytale wedding vibe. Tim tried his best to keep his cool. But the expression on his face when he saw Kait was absolutely priceless! Afterward, we stepped outside for some portraits under the venue’s iconic white metal pergola. Before long, they tucked away as guests arrived.
One of my favorite features of a Loudoun County wedding at Stone Manor Boutique Inn is the ceremony site. Nestled among towering trees with rustic wooden benches, it feels like a hidden woodland chapel. As a Northern Virginia wedding photographer I’ve seen dozens of unique venues. But this one definitely stands out when it comes to the beautiful ceremony site. Kait and Tim added their own touches with lush fern plants lining the aisle. It made the space feel even more intimate and unique.
Though the forecast teased us with the possibility of rain all day, the skies held clear during the ceremony. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Kait and Tim exchanged vows in a moment that was full of joy and laughter. Afterward, we wandered into the woods for a few intimate post-ceremony portraits that captured both their love and the natural beauty of the grounds.
The reception brought all of Kait and Tim’s whimsical, storybook dreams to life. A vintage typewriter with torn-edge paper became their guestbook, a literary-themed seating chart guided guests to tables adorned with books as centerpieces, and the children were treated to their own table complete with fairy wings and a crafting station stocked with stickers, rainbow scratch art, and wooden fairy houses for them to paint. It was thoughtful, creative, and so fun to watch those kids being welcomed into the celebration.
The tented reception was filled with love and laughter – you could especially see it in the way Tim’s mom beamed with emotion and joy throughout the evening. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we slipped out for portraits beneath the pergola once more, this time twinkling with string lights. Those bold portraits were the perfect closing chapter before Kait and Tim danced the night away.
