When I got the last-minute call to photograph a styled shoot at Halcyon Watson, a modern barn wedding venue in Leesburg, Virginia, I knew it was going to be something special. The shoot came together unexpectedly after Mel from Mystical Rose Flowers found herself with an order of stunning pink and yellow flowers that needed a purpose. Instead of letting them go to waste, we pulled together an amazing team of vendors. Within just a couple of days, we had a full wedding-inspired setup ready to go!

The talented team at Iconic Events styled a gorgeous tablescape on incredibly short notice. Every detail came together beautifully to showcase just how versatile and stunning this venue can be.

A Stunning Bride and a Dream Vendor Team

One of the highlights of this shoot was working with Sandra Makeup Artistry again. I had recently worked with her on Sarah and Nick’s Catholic wedding in Reston, and she is always fantastic! Our model Racheal looked absolutely radiant, bringing an effortless beauty to the bridal portraits. I especially enjoyed photographing the getting ready suite in the venue. It was complete with an adorable kitchen where we took some cheeky portraits of her sitting on the counters sipping some coffee. From the colorful floral designs to the warm and inviting barn setting, every element of this styled shoot blended modern romance with rustic charm.

I’m very selective about which styled shoots I participate in and share, but this collaboration was something truly special. I’m so grateful to have connected with Mel and the incredible vendor team who made this shoot happen in just a matter of days.
