I’m so excited to share Rebekah and Dominic’s cozy winter engagement session in Great Falls, Virginia. They finished off their wintry engagement session with a special personal touch, that you probably haven’t seen in an engagement session before!
Rebekah and Dominic met in 2020 through the Catholic Campus Ministry at Virginia Tech. They started dating in the summer of 2021, and Dominic proposed after their ministry leadership retreat last August.
They’ll be getting married in 2023 at St. Veronica Catholic Church in Chantilly, which is one of my favorite churches in Northern Virginia. As a Catholic Wedding Photographer in Virginia, I’ve photographed there a few times, and I am always excited to return!
Rebekah and Dominic were in town during their winter break from school, so it was the perfect time to photograph their engagement session. They were up for adventuring at Great Falls National Park, which is a favorite location of mine. Winter is a great time to visit because you can really see the dramatic falls and rushing waters between the trees when there aren’t leaves on the trees, as long as the ground isn’t icy – and we got lucky with perfect clear weather before our session!
These two wanted to end their session with some goofy fun, so they switched their outfits into matching cow onesies. It was definitely the funniest thing I’ve ever photographed at an engagement session! I love when couples personalize their engagement session and wedding day to make it fun and unique.
