Olivia and Victor are seniors at Penn State, and met through the Catholic Campus Ministry their freshman year. They’re planning their dream wedding while preparing to graduate – it’s a lot to juggle at once and they’re doing amazing! They are having their wedding this May at St. Rita in Alexandria, Virginia.

They came down to Virginia last month to have a meeting with their venue, Westfields Golf Club in Clifton, VA. While they were here, we decided to do their engagement session at the same time. It ended up working out perfectly since they were coming from out of state! Old Town Alexandria was the perfect place to take their romantic engagement photos because it’s close to the church where they’ll be married, it has sentimental value to Victor who grew up in the area, and the romantic classic style fits their vibe so perfectly. Old Town Alexandria is one of my favorite locations for engagement photos in Northern Virginia because there are so many beautiful places to take portraits with beautiful homes, brick archways, charming gates, and the water nearby.

Normally the winters in Virginia can be very cold, but we got so lucky with the weather! You would never know that this session took place in the middle of February. Olivia was able to wear an adorable white dress with wedges, and not worry about adding layers or slipping on ice. It truly felt like spring!

We ended up wandering Old Town for an hour and a half because it was such a nice day. We ended their engagement session down by the water. There is a dock that you can walk out on and it was perfect for their portraits! I loved exploring Old Town with them, and I can’t wait for their wedding day this May!
