Zach and Dana are finally married! This sweet couple met after graduating college and they are perfect for one another. Dana was my roommate in college for a couple of years. It was really fun to go from taking silly portraits of her around campus in college to now photographing her wedding day! She has been with me since the beginning!

Dana and Zach are an adorable couple. I have loved getting to know them more as a couple and getting to photograph them. I had a great time photographing their engagement session in Georgetown in DC, so I knew their wedding day was going to be so much fun.

Hotel Roanoke is a gorgeous historic hotel in Roanoke, Virginia. There were so many gorgeous backdrops both indoors and out. My favorite was definitely the front entrance to the hotel! The dramatic view with lush greenery and a cottage-like building was the perfect place for a sweeping veil picture of the bride and groom. This hotel was beautiful, and I hope to be back soon!

Zach and his groomsmen got ready all wearing fun tropical Hawaiian shirts. Over the years I have loved to see the creative groomsmen and bridesmaid gifts, and this one was a first! 

Dana and her girls got ready in matching blue robes. The color blue was present throughout the wedding day, and it’s becoming one of the most popular wedding colors of the year! Dana’s bridesmaids wore light blue beautiful dresses from Azazie. The flowers were all pastels with whites, pinks, and blues. The perfect color palette for a summer wedding.

They knew they wanted to incorporate their corgi, Piper, into their wedding day. During the reception, they had a signature drink named after her with vanilla vodka, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice. They also had a small figurine of Piper next to the wedding cake. She was sitting on the corner of the cake, eating the wedding cake. It was a very sweet personal touch, and I love that they kept her a part of their special day!

We left the reception for a few minutes at sunset to let Dana and Zach pop some champagne. The cork flew across the street! It was a fun moment so they could spend some time together after a hectic day, and I loved the cute photo op!

They ended their wedding night with a fun sparkler exit out of the hotel together. Congratulations, Dana and Zach! I loved getting to capture your beautiful summer wedding day at Hotel Roanoke.
