Olivia and Victor had a beautiful, traditional Catholic wedding at St. Rita Catholic Church, with a gold-detailed reception at Westfields Golf Club. These two are college sweethearts and just graduated from Penn State University.
We had a blast together earlier this year when we got the chance to explore Old Town Alexandria for their engagement session. Their session was so much fun, and it made me all the more excited to spend more time with them for their wedding day! You can check out their engagement session on the blog here!
Victor is from Northern Virginia which is why they chose to get married here. They love the Traditional Latin Mass and chose to have a Solemn High Mass at St. Rita Catholic Church for their wedding. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and full of reverence for the sacrament. You could feel the importance they had placed on the ceremony as the reason for their gathering first and foremost, and it set the tone for the rest of the day.
Victor’s mother passed away in 2018, so after the ceremony, they held a small graveside blessing where they were able to visit her at the cemetery just a short drive from the church. It was a very touching tribute and I would highly recommend it for those missing a close loved one on their wedding day.
The ballroom at Westfields Golf Club is one of my favorites. It’s full of natural light and the room has a timeless, neutral tone to it. The large windows along the walls with arches are beautiful! They chose to have classic decor with gold candelabras and flower petals to add to that classic and timeless feel for their wedding.
Their darling wedding cake was a vintage-feeling white and yellow buttercream with almond cake and apricot filling from Heidelberg Bakery, one of my favorite local bakeries! They used an heirloom cake topper, which was so special.
After the main events of the evening, their night was filled with dancing, cigars, and aperol spritzes. It was joyful and charming and I’m so grateful to be able to celebrate with them! Congratulations Victor and Olivia!
