The Farm at Clover Hill Fall Wedding – Front Royal, Virginia – Bridget and Josh

Did you know you can rent a gorgeous farmland wedding venue on AirBnB? Because I sure didn’t, until Bridget and Josh’s wedding! They had the most absolutely perfect fall wedding day in Front Royal. The trees are in the middle of changing colors here in Northern Virginia, the air was warm enough to get along without a jacket all day but had that crisp fall feeling to it, and to top it off the Blue Ridge Mountains were peeking out at us through the trees.

The Farm at Clover Hill (available through AirBnB) is an actual, active farm that can be rented out for personal stays and for events on the property which includes a charming farmhouse, where our bride and groom got ready before the wedding day. They were able to stay the night there before the wedding, making sure everything was set up and ready to go beforehand, and to stay the night during the wedding to fully enjoy their party and not worry about getting back home after a night of fun with friends and family. It was charmingly decorated and included a full kitchen, multiple bedrooms, and lots of lounging areas. There are lots of beautiful ceremony locations across the property but I’m certainly partial to the one that Bridget and Josh picked – up on a hill on the other side of the property, overlooking the farm and the woods and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. It was so beautiful and I would love to return!

Bridget and Josh did an excellent job of coordinating lots of little details to make their wedding especially unique, without breaking the bank. They had adorable wooden prints from their engagement session as centerpieces at the reception, beautiful ceremony decor including an arch made by the father of the groom, some sweet thank you cards tied off with gorgeous deep red ribbon, and more you can see below. She also had two dresses – one more formal dress for the ceremony and portraits, and a more comfy (but still very bridal!) dress for the reception. Her makeup by The Blushing Beaute was beautifully done, and I loved her sparkly Keds!

And the food! Rather than opting for a caterer, they somehow convinced some family members to cook up and serve barbeque (alongside an open bar) and it was ah-ma-zing! So classic and SO DELICIOUS. I’m a big fan of barbeque wedding dinners!

All of Bridget and Josh’s family and friends were incredibly sweet throughout the whole day and so obviously excited to be there to support them. I felt like I was photographing a wedding among friends the whole day. And the open bar certainly helped everyone feel more friendly, haha! It was a wonderful, goofy, beautiful day and I am so grateful to have been part of it.
