Diamond and Chris are newlyweds and they are expecting their first little one in September. I already know these two are going to be amazing parents because they are some of the kindest people I’ve met! During their session they were as happy as can be, and it was such a joyous occasion. I loved getting to meet them both and take their maternity photos at Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria. They are clearly so excited for their sweet baby to arrive.

For maternity photos, I recommend we book your maternity session around 28-36 weeks. Diamond for this session was at 33 weeks. This is a good time frame where you’re not too close to the delivery date and have a comfortable bump for photos. For expecting mamas, I recommend wearing a long dress for these photos. It is always super flattering, and gorgeous for portraits!

She looked stunning in it, and the white neutral popped off of the green garden background.

This beautiful garden in Alexandria, Virginia had so many spots for portraits. There were flowers in full bloom and I loved getting to take photos of these two peeking through the flowers in the foreground. Some of my favorite photos of their session were taken down toward the pond. There is a brown wooden gazebo on the pond that was the perfect place to frame a beautiful portrait of them adoring their sweet baby.
