Megan and Rob’s Brookside Gardens engagement session was such a treat to photograph! Brookside Gardens, located in Silver Spring, MD, has always been on my bucket list for engagement sessions. It’s a sprawling park with stunning gardens, and I’d often seen other photographers shoot there. Needless to say, I was thrilled when Megan and Rob chose it for their session!

The weather couldn’t have been better – a comfortable day with golden hour light that just made everything glow. The gardens were full of beautiful spots to explore, and Megan and Rob were such good sports about wandering all over the park chasing that magical light. Their patience and willingness to have fun made every photo feel so natural and full of love.

The two of them were so sweet together, and you could see how much they truly enjoy each other’s company. Whether they were walking hand-in-hand or laughing together in the soft, golden light, their connection was undeniable and so easy to capture.

We were surprised to find that the main gardens were actually closed for a wedding the day of our visit! Even so, we found plenty of places to explore across the park. Now, I’m eager to return on a day without a wedding taking up the main space!

Megan and Rob’s wedding next summer at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens is already shaping up to be amazing. Meadowlark is one of my favorite wedding venues in Northern Virginia, so it feels extra exciting to get to capture their love story both at Brookside and, soon, at Meadowlark.
