Kasia and Matt met in college at Virginia Tech. Kasia is an aerospace engineer, and Matt is a civil engineer. Their backgrounds made the Air and Space Museum in Dulles, Virginia the perfect place for Matt to pop the question when he proposed! Then they started planning their dream wedding at St John Neumann Catholic Church and Hidden Creek Country Club.

They first reached out to me in March 2020. As you can imagine, we had no idea during that initial consultation just how much their wedding plans would change. We ended up splitting their wedding day into two separate days, one year apart.

Their original wedding had only immediate family and close friends in November 2020. Then they followed with a one-year vow renewal and reception with all their friends and family in November 2021. In this blog post, I’m highlighting their 2020 wedding and will share their incredible post-covid celebration in a few weeks so be on the look out for that soon! They ended up getting two amazing parties to celebrate with their friends and family.

Kasia and Matt both love 7Eleven slurpees! They decided to make a pit stop between the ceremony and reception to get one! This was one of the most fun, unique ways I’ve ever had a couple incorporate their own personality into their wedding day. It was a great way for the two of them to spend a little bit of time together without the bustle of family and friends for just a few extra minutes, and resulted in some portraits uniquely perfect for the two of them!
