Emily and Thomas embraced the elegance of their stunning venue The Inn at Little Washington for their intimate wedding day. The Michelin-starred restaurant nestled in the heart of tiny Washington, Virginia was a main character. It provided the romantically designed hotel room where Emily got dressed, breathtaking mountain views of the ceremony space, and a charming historic ballroom for their incredible dinner and toasts.

Beautiful Details
The luxurious Room 6 Suite at the Inn was a fairytale setting for Emily and her maid of honor to relax and get dressed before the ceremony. It felt like Emily was a princess with her dress hanging on the door beside the remains of their afternoon tea and beautiful chandeliers overhead.
The Inn at Little Washington is the only restaurant in the greater DC area with 3 Michelin stars. As a foodie myself, it was so much fun to see and photograph the beautiful dishes served at Emily and Thomas' reception. The intimate setting of the Inn's ballroom - a cozy dining room by modern standards - combined with the expertly plated dishes served slowly over several hours was an experience that only made my desire to dine at the Inn myself even stronger!
Memorable Moments
Emily and Thomas' officiant was Thomas' grandfather, John Fox Sullivan, former mayor of Washington. Witnessing a ceremony officiated and attended almost exclusively by close family members made the day feel so much more profound; Emily and Thomas were genuinely happy to see each guest and spend time conversing with everyone present.
This carried through their reception as guests were invited to stand and give toasts whenever felt right for them. Witnessing these heartfelt toasts from family members over the course of the evening was a bonding experience for everyone in the room.
